Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. This page explains, without much legal formality, what cookies hisejo.info uses, why they are there, and how you can change your mind about them at any point.

What counts as a cookie here. Alongside cookies in the strict sense, this section also covers similar technologies such as local storage, which we use to remember your preference settings so the preference tool does not reappear needlessly. This is treated the same way under the Polish Telecommunications Law (Prawo telekomunikacyjne) of 16 July 2004, as amended, and under the ePrivacy rules referenced in the GDPR framework.

Necessary cookies. These keep the site functioning. They allow pages to load correctly, remember that you closed a menu, and keep the cookie preference tool itself working. They do not require consent under Polish law because the website could not operate as intended without them, and they are not used for tracking beyond the current session.

Analytics cookies. If enabled, these help us understand in general terms which pages are visited and roughly how, so that content and navigation can be improved. They are set only after you switch this category on in the preference tool, and they can be turned off again at any time, after which no further analytics data is collected from your device.

Preference cookies. These remember small choices you make while browsing, such as whether a section was expanded, so the site does not ask again on your next visit. Like analytics cookies, they are only set with your consent.

Marketing cookies. These would be used to gauge whether information shown to you is relevant across visits. They are off by default and only activate if you choose to enable them in the preference tool.

Third-party cookies. The map embed on the Contact page is provided by Google and may set its own cookies once the map is loaded, governed by Google's own cookie practices rather than ours. We do not control these directly, though the map is only loaded as part of the Contact page and not across the rest of the site.

How consent is recorded. Your choices are stored in a cookie named hi_consent, which records which categories you accepted and when. This record itself is treated as a necessary cookie, since without it the preference tool would ask again on every page. The stored preference typically lasts twelve months, after which you will be asked to confirm your choices again.

Managing your preferences. A small link labelled "Cookie preferences" sits in the bottom corner of every page on this site. Selecting it opens a panel where each category can be switched on or off individually, or where you can accept all categories or reject everything beyond what is strictly necessary. Most browsers also allow cookies to be blocked or deleted directly through their own settings, though doing so may affect how smoothly parts of the site work.
